The Uncommon Cafe, run by the husband-and-wife team, Lisa and Luc Leimanis, has brought a fresh look to the already warm inviting space. They have put in Macramé works done by Forage & Lace and succulent arts by Star and Pointer, brightening up the dining room filled with antique furniture and vintage décor pieces. Both collections are available for purchase.
Known for running this eclectic yet cozy cafe for an ideal place to grab a comforting meal in the neighbourhood, and a commissary that facilitates small local business like Tartine & Maple, Tasty and Nourishing, Standard Kombucha, Mixers and Elixirs, the Local Churn, El Coroto Food Cart and the Golden Era food truck, Lisa and Luc have just celebrated the cafe’s 2nd anniversary, and decided to extend their services to corporate catering, meaning more people are able to taste Luc’s home-cooking style dishes which got a nod in the L.A. Times, as well as the delectable pastries and baked goods prepared by Valentine Kitamura, the talent behind Tartine & Maple. Don’t forget the space is also available for hosting events, pop-ups and cooking classes.
And for more exciting news to come, they are introducing their own brand of coffee in the next few weeks!
