As we live and organize queer space as settlers on these lands\, we have an obligation to continuously work to repair harms perpetrated upon Indigenous communities\, presently and historically. Settler colonialism has brought (and continues to bring) untold violence to these lands\, via unlawful resource extraction\, racism in medical and foster care systems\, and the intergenerational trauma of residential schools. One way we will strive to offer restorative care and reparations in relation to this event is by donating a portion of event proceeds to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. Practice your new skills to hand paint an elegant heart box as a gift  for Mom(or bring Mom to make her own and eat yours!). \nThis class is 16+.  We may relax the age requirement if a parent and a child aged 12-15 wish to attend the class as a pair. Please contact us for details. This class is nut free and vegan friendly. \nPLEASE NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE THAT ALL STUDENTS WEAR A MASK DURING OUR CLASS AS STUDENTS ARE IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE FOR UP TO THREE HOURS.
