Good in the Hood Holiday Party

November 14, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm PST

Please join April and Baljit, and more amazing business owners at “Good In The Hood” Holiday Party. This is a social networking event celebrating local entrepreneurs. As well, we are presenting our third fundraiser to support the Granola Girl Foundation!

This is THE (early) holiday party for local business owners and Entrepreneurs who don’t get to experience the annual corporate parties. So this is our version! As always, we are known for heart based networking, giving the spotlight to local business owners, amazing plant based food, dynamic performances, and as a special treat…we will have dancing with our very own DJ Rainbow Bridge, Bajit -yup! she’s come out of the DJ closet.

The Granola Girl Foundation is a fundraising platform to provide scholarships for local organizations with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Girl Empowerment. For this event, we are selecting Mealshare, a meal program that partners with local restaurants to help feed our kids and youth during the holiday season. We invite Derek Juno, Founder of Mealshare to tell us more about their program and how they create a positive impact in our community.

Be ready to mix and mingle in the beautiful and centrally located Heritage Hall on Main St. with Vancouver’s finest, high-integrity heart-led entrepreneurs. You know exactly what heart-based networking is all about: We show up, as ourselves, struggles and celebrations, ready to share, present and open minded, ready to listen and connect -heart to heart and soul to soul.

Kindness and compassion are key to our interactions.
Truth telling is our only story.

As always, we love local food businesses and will be nourished by Chickpea Food Truck, Healthy Delight Gyozas, Cartems Donuterie,  GLOW ChocolateGranola Girl, NutMeg MylkTea Sparrow, Hoochy ‘Booch Kombucha, My Matcha LifeWe Love Van WaterJuice Truck and more!

“When you connect with someone else, you connect with yourself. Talking with another person, communicating with a mind outside of your own mind puts you in touch with the part of your Self that is bigger than your mind, larger than your thoughts. That’s because the act of CONNECTING with another pulls you out of your ongoing internal dialogue and into an external one.

In an external dialogue, another person can bring you fresh energy, provide a different perspective. They can come to the subject with a clear head, free of the self judgement through which you are looking at everything. They see YOU as you really are, proving the irony that sometimes you have to get out of yourself to get into yourself. Sometimes you have to stop looking at yourself to see yourself.”

-Neale Donald Walsh, When Everything Changes, Change Everything.
