Japanese Canadian Heritage Cooking Classes in 2022 – Old School/New School

Carmel and her intergenerational cooking team will lead the way in the kitchen (and hopefully talk about some wonderfully foodie recent explorations at home and around the globe while interviewing subjects for her Jewpanese Oral History Project).
Saturday, August 24th menu* includes:
- Broiled Crispy Miso Maple Steelhead Trout
- Marinated Grilled Ginger Tofu (vegan option)
- Japanese Eggplant Salad w/ Herbs, Olives & Rice Vinegar
- Brined Chilli Cukes plus Yuzu Kosho
- Maitake, Millet & Buckwheat Rice
- Minty jewel plums, apricots, figs, dates
This is a simple hands on kitchen workshop experience with some great eating at the end!
