Ekklesia: The Monastic Legacy of Beer
April 3 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm PDT

Monastic tradition and the history of beer have a fascinatingly intertwined relationship. From developments in quality control and recipe creation to the first known addition of hops, beer has come a long way due to the influence of the Church. This evening, we will venture back through the ages and extol the virtues of some outstanding brews. Revel in a lineup of beers either developed in the old world or inspired by it. From a bevvy of Trappist tipples to the richness and complexity of Lambic, we invite those who would follow to worship at the altar of ale and rejoice!
Our shop tastings start at 7pm and run for approximately one to one and a half hours. We will match 6-8 beers on a theme, accompanied by some light nibbles chosen to pair with the beer. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
Tickets are available for purchase in-store or online at Eventbrite
