Keg Size® Caesar Available on National Caesar Day

National Caesar Day takes place each year on the Thursday prior Canada’s unofficial kickoff of summer – the Victoria Day long weekend.
It is commonly understood that the first Caesar was created by Walter Chell at the Calgary Inn which is now The Keg Steakhouse + Bar located at 4th Avenue inside the Westin Hotel. Having been officially named Canada’s National Cocktail by Parliament in 2009, a day that celebrates a moment in Canada’s culture.

- Creator of the first Caesar, Bartender, Walter Chell was inspired by his favourite Italian dish spaghetti vongole – a pasta dish made of clam and tomato flavours
- The Keg sells over one million Caesars across Canada a year. (And of those over half are Keg Sized®)
- The Keg has sold over 25,000,000 Caesars since opening its doors in 1971.
- The most common garnished for a Caesar is a stalk of celery and wedge of lime
A Keg Size® Caesar can be enjoyed with or without alcohol. To make it you need:
• Rim a 16 oz glass with celery salt
• Fill with ice cubes
• 2 oz of vodka
• 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
• 1 dash of Tabasco®
• Top up with Keg Caesar Mix
• Garnish with a celery stalk, wedge of lime, and a pickled bean
