“SUYO con Amigos” Series: Suyo x Haifa

Renowned Chef Ricardo Valverde of SUYO Modern Peruvian restaurant is presenting an innovative new dinner series titled “SUYO con Amigos” (SUYO with Friends). This exclusive collection of one-night-only dining events will unite esteemed chefs to celebrate Vancouver’s diverse culinary scene through collaborative culinary adventures.
The series kicks off with a collaboration dinner on March 14, 2024, featuring Chef Jason Hemi from the acclaimed Bar Haifa. Subsequent collaborations throughout the year will include Chef Ivy Yang for SUYO x Elisa (June 13), Chef Warren Chow for SUYO x Wildlight Kitchen + Bar (September 12), and Chef Masayoshi Baba for SUYO x Masayoshi (November 18).
Bar Haifa, launched in November 2023, brings together a diverse group of close friends and seasoned restaurateurs from Palestinian and Israeli-Jewish backgrounds. Chef Hemi will bring his expertise to the collaboration, offering a unique fusion of Israeli, Palestinian, and Peruvian flavors and techniques. The menu will feature SUYO’s vibrant Scallop Tiradito alongside Bar Haifa’s Shawarma Braised Lamb Shoulder, as well as innovative modern interpretations of traditional fare. Guests will also have the opportunity to savor Chef Ricardo’s modern Peruvian dishes alongside Bar Haifa’s renowned Hummus.
