Daan Go Cake Lab, a bakery originally hailing from Ontario, is expanding with its first franchise location in British Columbia, specifically in Richmond. Opening its doors to the public on April 15 at unit 100 – 4731 Garden City Road, the store will offer creatively-shaped cakes such as roasted pigs, lucky cats, and durian fruit, alongside a range of character macarons, pastries, and ice cream.

Christopher Siu founded Daan Go Cake Lab in 2011 while working as a full-time pharmacist in the Greater Toronto Area. Siu initially competed in the second season of MasterChef Canada, but it was his ultimate win in the seventh all-star season that brought him widespread recognition in Canada. Siu had always dreamed of expanding Daan Go across Canada, making the Richmond, BC location a significant milestone.

The store will celebrate its grand opening on April 15, with promotional deals such as 10% off all weekend, free giveaways, and the first 25 customers receiving a $25.00 gift card.
