Attendees will join a very small and intimate group, led by Jim Meehan (author, and owner of New York’s PDT Bar), with inspired discussions around the launch of his newest book, “Meehan’s Bartender Manual”, and insights from the last two decades Meehan spent in some of the most acclaimed bars. Jim’s previous book – PDT – features an important database of recipes, both old and new, a staple for any professional bartender’s library. During the session, World Class Global Cocktailian & Co-proprietor of Bittered Sling – Lauren Mote – will moderate a special Q&A, while World Class 2017 Global Winner, Kaitlyn Stewart, and World Class Canada 2014 Winner, Grant Sceney, provide guests with delicious cocktails to sip on, featuring the Bittered Sling Bitters and World Class Reserve Brands. With your ticket purchase, a brand-new copy of “Meehan’s Bartender Manual” is provided for each guest, with an opportunity for a one-on-one chat with Jim, and book signing. ABOUT JIM MEEHAN | Jim is a renowned bartender and author of The PDT Cocktail Book. He worked at some of New York City’s most revered restaurants and bars, including Gramercy Tavern and Pegu Club, before opening the James Beard Award-winning bar PDT in 2007. In addition to writing for Tasting Table, Lucky Peach, and Sommelier Journal, Meehan served as an editor for Food & Wine magazine’s annual cocktail book and Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide. He and his family reside in Portland, OR, where he runs the consulting firm Mixography, Inc.
