Norwegian Weekend Brunch – Cooking Class

Welcome to Helgefrokost; Norwegian weekend brunch! Chef Susanna is digging up some old favourite recipes from childhood memories and putting on a Norwegian weekend brunch! We’ll have home cured fish, open faced sandwiches, freshly made waffles with sweet Norwegian goat cheese, and other treats. There may even be akevitt… You’ll have to come to find out what it is!


On the menu:





 Rekesmørbrød — open faced sandwich with shrimp


 Laks og eggerøre — house cured salmon with scrambled eggs. How to cure salmon will be demonstrated


– Karbonadesmørbrød — Norwegian ‘burger’ open faced sandwich with beef meatballs and caramelized onions


 Ferske vafler med brunost — Norwegian waffles with sweet goat cheese


 Bladkrans — sweet buns with cinnamon and sugar

You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store (604) 939-6200. Payment is required when you register – visa, mastercard, debit, gift certificates and cash are accepted. We require 72 hours notice if you can’t make it to your class for a full refund or to move you to another class. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, a refund will not be issued but you can always send somebody in your place. Chefs will try to accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions if given 72 hours notice. Please inquire prior to booking if there are any food concern.
