Tantalus Vineyards Wine Takeover Dinner

August 8, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm PDT

Tantalus Vineyards will be taking over the YEW seafood + bar wine list for one night only.  Their wines capture the imagination and provide a perfect harmony with YEW’s locally driven menu.  YEW’s culinary team has created a menu focused on the late summer harvest of British Columbia paired with Tantalus wines that envoke a sense of place from their beautiful Okanagan valley vineyard.  Indulge in the best B.C. has to offer and learn from master wine maker and General Manager David Paterson as he shares what goes into creating the perfect glass.

1st Course (Blanc de Noir)


Oyster
Strawberry, Pink Peppercorn, Grapefruit Granite


2nd Course (Old Vines Riesling)


Scallop+ Pork Belly
Cabbage, Lime Leaf, Orange


3rd Course (Chardonnay)


Halibut
Summer Melon, Preserved Lemon, Almond, Chive Blossom


4th Course (Pinot Noir)


Game Hen
Cherries, Sprouted Grains, Fennel, Jus


5th Course (Reisling)


Golden Pineapple “Molecular” Sphere
Semi Frozen Coconut, Dehydrated Raspberry Chips




The VIP tasting dinner will be held at our Communal Table and David Paterson and Chef Stephen Bukoff will guide guests through the pairings with each course.


General Tasting Dinners will be seated in individual groups and David or his team will stop by and introduce the wines during your dinner.


YEW will also be featuring an a la carte pairing selection and by the glass offerings of Tantalus wines throughout the evening on August 8 so feel free to come by and grab a glass and bite and meet David.
