Westside Food Fest – Making Sauerkraut

July 26, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm PDT

Fermented vegetables have many health benefits, including live enzymes, readily available vitamins and minerals, and probiotics -and sauerkraut/other fermented vegetables are suitable for all (vegetarian, vegan, Paleo, gluten free).


Bring a wide-mouth 500ml mason jar, cutting board, large knife, and large bowl (optional). Participants will go home w/a jar of customized sauerkraut to ferment at home.


Adults/families w/children 10 years+ are welcome – minors must be accompanied by a caregiver. We’ll have a Seed Library present – you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some.
