Chatime [Oakridge] is one of the fastest growing bubble tea franchise, and has opened their 8th location in the Lower Mainland at 6365 Cambie Street [Vancouver Foodster]

FlipSide Desserts [Joyce] has opened doors at 5538 Joyce Street, serving Filipino inspired ice-cream and desserts [Vancouver Foodster]

Handworks Coffee Studio [Burnaby] is at 7705 6th Street, Burnaby. Previously at Bansho Cafe, owners Mas and Yuriko are originally from Japan and have been living in Canada since 2002.  [Vancouver Foodster]

Ignite Pizzeria [Mount Pleasant] has opened doors at 2588 Main Street at 10th Avenue. The shop will seat 50 people inside, with an additional 10 on the patio. [Straight]

Innocent Ice Cream [Riley Park]  is located at 4895 Main Street, serving gluten-free cookie ice cream sandwich flights [DailyHive]

Lucha Verde [West End] has taken the space at 1326 Davie Street from former Lolita and presenting as a casual cocktail-forward Veg-Mex restaurant with 38 seats including 11 seats by the bar.  [Scout]

Marutama Ramen [Stadium District] has opened their 2nd location at 270 Robson Street, serving chicken stock based ramen bowls, with the addition of gyoza [Straight]

Oddfish [Kitsilano] has opened doors at 1889 W 1st Ave, as a casual seafood-centric spot with the focus of “simple, approachable, fresh seafood”.   [Straight]

Papparoti [Coquitlam]  has opened a 2,000 square-foot test kitchen in Coquitlam at 100 – 1196 Pinetree Way. Besides its signature coffee buns, patrons can expect a signature flatbread on the menu. [DailyHive]

S + L Kitchen [Surrey] has opened its third location at 16051 24 Ave, Surrey. The 6,000-square-foot space seats 217 people plus a patio that seats 64 people. MasterChef Canada winner David Jorge and Top Chef Canada winner Matthew Stowe, who are both from Surrey, designed the menu. [Straight]

St. Lawrence [Downtown Eastside] is located at 269 Powell Street, serving Quebec inspired cuisine in the 1500 sqft space. [Vancouver Foodster]

The Ellis [Kitsilano] has opened doors at 2204 York Avenue, in the heart of Kitsilano, with their vision of cozy European tap house featuring Pacific Northwest comfort food and crafted drinks. [Vancouver Foodster]

The Hide Lounge [Downtown] is located at Bentall Tower IV at 1055 Dunsmuir Street, in the Bentall Centre Athletic Club (BCAC). They are open 12 pm to 10 pm, Monday – Friday for lunch and dinner service. The Hide Lounge features a full liquor license and is available for hire for parties of 20-30 people on the weekend. [Vancouver Foodster]

The Praguery Food Truck [Olympic Village] is a Czech dessert truck travelling around Vancouver, and offering signature Trdelnik (Chimney Cakes) and Prague Cones [DailyHive]

The Rise Eatery [South Granville] is at 3121 Granville Street. Chef Dan Leung and Wanda Lai, are the co-owners of this restaurant serving globally-inspired dishes. The husband-and-wife duo also run Danz Gourmet, a catering business that they started in 2003. [Staight]

Stuffies Pastries  [North Vancouver] is located at 1561 Oxford Street, North Vancouver, bringing a very successful South Korean pastry concept to Vancouver –  a traditional delicious animal-shaped waffle-like pastry with various filling, and presentation. [Vancouver Foodster]
