Join us for the third annual ALL YOU CAN EAT Barbarian’s Feast at The Cascade Room, Sunday September 22nd 5pm. Sit back and prepare yourself for one of the most anticapated food events of the year. 5pm – Doors open. Seating is on  a first come first serve basis.  Groups are urged to line up early to ensure you are all in the same area.

5:30 – Sit down guided whiskey tasting with the Jameson Brand Ambassador and 5 expressions of whiskey.

6:00pm – The all you can eat feast begins – 120lb Roasted Pig, with varios other roasted beasts and decadent sides.

Beers courtesy of Main Street Brewing and Driftwood Brewing. They are making special cask ales just for you infused with Jameson Caskmates Irish Whiskey.

Dictionaries define barbarians as uncivilized, primitive and wild. But to the less rigid, more convivial folks at The Cascade Room, hosting the 3rd annual Barbarian’s Feast on September 22nd means they want to unleash your primal appetites and re-whet your giant appetite for life.

The evening will be devoted to robust feasting and drinking. Upon entry you will receive a welcome cocktail courtesy of our title sponsor Jameson Irish Whiskey and the legends that make up the Cascade Room bar-team. Once everyone has arrived Jameson Brand Ambassador, Ciara Fitzgerald, will guide you through 5 expressions of one of the worlds most famous whiskies with a sit down and formal tasting of Jameson Original, Crested, Black Barrel, Caskmates IPA and Caskmates Stout. 

The dinner, courtesy of Executive Chef Tim Evans and our collection of culinary stars of The Cascade Room, will be presented buffet-style in the age-old tradition of the groaning board. This jaw dropping feast will feature a 120 lb. whole roasted pig from Gelderman Farms in Abbotsford, and irresistible offerings including blueberry farmers sausages, chicken fried steak, bratwursts, spicy Italian sausages, roasted chicken, and our famous St. Louis ribs with Sassy Molassy BBQ sauce, fresh baked pretzels and beer mustard and artisinal breads courtesy of Andrew Gunn from Cobbs Breads on Main Street. Barbarians cannot live by meat alone — try as they might — so satisfying sides will be served up as well, including potato salad, sauerkraut, pickles and grilled corn on the cob. Reserve a tiny corner of your bad barbarian self for dessert – fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to the whiskey tastings, libations will include ales by Main Street Brewing of Vancouver BC and Driftwood Brewing from Vancouver Island. These two iconic breweries will be featuring specially made casks brewed with Jamesons Caskmates. Not to be outdone, the creative Cascade Room bar team has a plethora of special whiskey cocktails for the event, bound to set you on the right path to pure bliss!

Bring your loose $5 bills to purchase tickets to our raffles as we will be raising money for the Vancouver 

Food Bank. With our mighty feasting its a good way to give back to those less fortunate. Our title sponsor Jameson Irish Whiskey will have a gigantic bottle of whiskey and our partners from Main Street Brewing and Driftwood Brewing will have specialty selected gift baskets worth infinitely more than a $5 raffle ticket. Our goal is to raise $1500 to help feed the less fortunate this Thanksgiving.
