Dried Goods Series Part Three: Goods Prep and Cooking Class
September 1, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT
If you have ever wondered how to incorporate more dried goods into your cooking or wanted to learn more about the basics of food as holistic health in Chinese medicine, join us for the final workshop of the series as we dive deeper into exploring dried goods as a cultural asset and the businesses that supply these goods in Chinatown.
Douglas Chang from Ai & Om Knives in Chinatown will be taking us through how to prepare dried goods for cooking. The recipes made are dependent on the produce available during the time of the workshop and will be provided by ChoiBox Farmer Yuko Suda of Brave Child Farms.
Stay tuned for more details.
Chinatown House is serviced by the bus lines: 3, 4, 7, 8, 19, 22, 209 and there is metered parking at the front. There is ground-level entrance and the wheelchair accessible button is currently broken, but event organizers are available to assist with opening doors for individuals. The washrooms are binary trans-inclusive, with wheelchair accessible stalls. We are currently addressing how we can increase the accessibility of this space.
