Traditional Samosas Cooking Class

The secret behind a good samosa lies in mastering the dough with the right consistency and complementing it with a perfectly balanced spiced potato and peas filling. A Samosa meal is incomplete without a tangy chickpea curry topped with mint flavoured yogurt and sweet and sour tamarind chutney. As a participant you will get an opportunity to mould your own samosas with step by step instructions as we go along moulding them together. They will be deep fried and we will enjoy the samosas served in a traditional way with the accompaniments prepared earlier.

On the menu:

– Samosa dough from scratch

– Peas and Potato filling spiced with freshly ground coriander and pomegranate seeds and other flavorful spices.

– Chickpea curry with a spiced tangy tomato based gravy

– Mint and cumin flavoured yogurt

– Tangy tamarind and dates chutney spiced with ginger and cumin.

You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store. Payment is required when you register – visa, mastercard, debit, gift certificates and cash are accepted. (604) 939-6200. We require 72 hours notice if you can’t make it to your class for a full refund or to move you to another class. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, a refund will not be issued but you can always send somebody in your place.
