Meet Me in Gastown Returns August 14 with Food, Music, and Summer Vibes

Gastown’s signature summer event is back. Now in its fourth year, Meet Me in Gastown returns on Thursday, August 14 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM, transforming the historic neighbourhood into a lively open-air celebration of food, music, and community.

Centered around Maple Tree Square and along Water Street, the free, all-ages event invites locals and visitors to explore one of Vancouver’s most iconic areas while enjoying street eats, live performances, and a vibrant cocktail patio experience.

Sixteen local restaurants will be serving up bites priced from $4–$17, including offerings from Monarca, MeeT in Gastown, Guilt & Co., and the Old Spaghetti Factory. A new mocktail bar by 1933 Liquor will offer refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, adding to the variety of options available throughout the evening.

Live music will fill the streets with a dynamic lineup:

  • 4:00 PM: Marlin Ramazzini Band kicks off with Latin grooves
  • 4:45 PM: LOVUR String Quartet brings modern elegance
  • 5:15 PM: The Slow Sippers Band keeps the mood relaxed
  • 6:00 PM: Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra headlines with orchestral renditions of pop hits
  • 8:00–10:00 PM: A live DJ set at Carrall Street Alley closes out the night

The event also supports A Better Life Foundation, which works to address food insecurity in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Guests can contribute by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win prize bundles donated by local businesses.

Whether you come for the food, music, or atmosphere, Meet Me in Gastown offers a unique way to experience the neighbourhood in the summer.
