Gastown’s signature summer event is back. Now in its fourth year, Meet Me in Gastown returns on Thursday, August 14 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM, transforming the historic neighbourhood into a lively open-air celebration of food, music, and community.
Centered around Maple Tree Square and along Water Street, the free, all-ages event invites locals and visitors to explore one of Vancouver’s most iconic areas while enjoying street eats, live performances, and a vibrant cocktail patio experience.
Sixteen local restaurants will be serving up bites priced from $4–$17, including offerings from Monarca, MeeT in Gastown, Guilt & Co., and the Old Spaghetti Factory. A new mocktail bar by 1933 Liquor will offer refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, adding to the variety of options available throughout the evening.
Live music will fill the streets with a dynamic lineup:
- 4:00 PM: Marlin Ramazzini Band kicks off with Latin grooves
- 4:45 PM: LOVUR String Quartet brings modern elegance
- 5:15 PM: The Slow Sippers Band keeps the mood relaxed
- 6:00 PM: Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra headlines with orchestral renditions of pop hits
- 8:00–10:00 PM: A live DJ set at Carrall Street Alley closes out the night
The event also supports A Better Life Foundation, which works to address food insecurity in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Guests can contribute by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win prize bundles donated by local businesses.
Whether you come for the food, music, or atmosphere, Meet Me in Gastown offers a unique way to experience the neighbourhood in the summer.
