New Irish bar “General Post Office” (GPO) has opened on Granville’s Entertainment District. Its name speaks to Irish-born bartender, Kieran McGrath’s heritage and his concept behind the new watering hole. The name is a nod to the Dublin landmark associated with the rising that led to the Irish Independence. Their goal, to cater to the growing Irish community in Vancouver and offer a comfortable place for anyone to meet new people.
Not only does GPO Bar + Kitchen feature traditional Irish fare, but they offer brunch daily until 3pm, with an extensive cocktail menu, best enjoyed alongside live musical performances on the weekends.
