Vancouver’s Top Vietnamese Eatery Anh and Chi Opening Up Outdoor Patio with the Ham Chơi Concept and a New Cocktail Menu

Anh and Chi are gearing up for the warmer months with a trio of exciting new offerings launching on Wednesday, May 1st. The Mount Pleasant’s award-winning restaurant is unveiling a lively new Spring/Summer cocktail menu, opening its streetside patio for the season, and introducing Ham Chơi, their fresh spin on Happy Hour.

Fresh off their victory in the 2024 Science of Cocktails Flor de Cana Sustainability Cocktail Competition, Anh and Chi’s talented Bar Manager Chelsea McNabb, working alongside the dynamic bar team, has crafted a new cocktail program inspired by Vietnam’s four sacred beasts—mythical creatures symbolizing different facets of nature and power: Azure Dragon, Golden Phoenix, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise.

“We love creating drinks that we enjoy ourselves and incorporating the latest cocktail trends—sometimes even setting our own,” says Chelsea. “Our range goes from fruity to bold, ensuring there’s a drink for everyone to savor.” From the tropical Opal Eye Daiquiri to the invigorating Phoenix Feather or Flower Power Sour, these inventive concoctions also offer a preview of the innovative cocktail program soon to debut at Good Thief, Anh and Chi’s upcoming sibling concept.

Adding to the buzz of the new season is Ham Chơi, Anh and Chi’s unique approach to Happy Hour, featuring exclusive drink and food specials on weekdays from 3-4 p.m. With playful offerings like Lac Long Lager pours for $7 and savory skewers starting at $6.

Meanwhile, Anh and Chi’s streetside patio invites guests to enjoy a sun-drenched retreat with delicious food and handcrafted drinks amidst a lively ambiance. This pet-friendly patio complements their popular year-round heated and covered patio, open on sunny weekends (Fridays to Sundays) through June and every sunny day from July to September.

Anh and Chi welcomes walk-ins and guests booking reservations through their Reservation by Donation program. By donating $10 per person to a charity of their choice, guests can secure a table and relish an unforgettable dining experience while supporting a meaningful cause. Having raised and donated over $250,000 through this initiative to various local charities like Pacific Immigrant Resources Society, A.WARE Foundation, Aunt Leah’s Place, Baby Go Round, and Food Stash Foundation, the team takes pride in their ongoing community support.
