Local top restaurants will participate in the annual Passions Gala differently in 2020

Known as the “Vancouver’s Best Little Gala” and presented by Scotiabank, the 17th annual Passions gala is cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Highly regarded as one of Vancouver’s most popular food and wine events, the city’s top restaurants have participated in this annual event and previously raised over $1.5 million for the Dr. Peter Centre

This year, Dr. Peter Center is pivoting towards a gratitude campaign to give back to restaurants that have played an essential role in the annual gala since 2004.

On October 1st, 2020, Dr. Peter Centre is encouraging donors and past attendees to take an active role in supporting the local culinary community by dining in, dining out, or purchasing gift cards at one or more of these restaurant partners in honour of Passions

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions to the local restaurant industry, which has experienced more than 90% of lower sales compared to 2019.
