Kitchen Table Restaurants introduces Vancouver to the free-spirited and simply crafted flavours of traditional Italian gelato and granita at the newly opened Motorino Gelato.
While the Vespa is known in North America as a stylish ride for fair-weather days, in Italy, the motorino is an all-season commuter, and the only way to get around for many. It is transportation that is fun and unpretentious, yet designed with intent. Traditional Italian gelato follows the same principles: not showy or extravagant, but stripped down to great ingredients and simple techniques that create beautiful flavours to be enjoyed every day, and not only for dessert.
At Motorino, Kitchen Table will showcase British Columbia’s spectacular local and seasonal ingredients in this free-spirited style of traditional gelato, and in the Sicilian speciality, granita, a brightly flavoured and refreshing frozen treat often served with brioche, that can be enjoyed as a meal unto itself.
Motorino Gelato — to be located street-side in the Fairmont Pacific Rim at 1001 West Cordova Street — is the latest addition to Kitchen Table’s collection of concepts that highlights its truest expression, rooted in authentic, bold and proudly Italian flavours.
