Vancouver Cocktail Week 2024 Features International Star Mixologists

The third annual Vancouver Cocktail Week welcomes some of the globe’s most esteemed bartenders, many of whom have been lauded by the World’s 50 Best Bars, for an unparalleled opportunity to indulge in their craft, exchange experiences, and raise a toast together.

The Featured Mixolosts

Jesse Vida, renowned from NYC’s The Dead Rabbit (named World’s Best Bar by Tales of the Cocktail) and his tenure as head bartender at Atlas in Singapore, recognized by World’s 50 Best Bars. He now co-owns the agave-focused Singapore speakeasy Cat Bite Club, poised to share insights into agave and rice-based spirits.

Bastien Ciocca and the team from Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame, ranked No. 74 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.

Diego Cabrera, recipient of the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award, whose Madrid cocktail bar, Salmon Guru, sits at No. 16 on World’s 50 Best.

Ronato (Tato) Giovannoni of Florería Atlántico in Buenos Aires, Altos Bartenders’ Bartender 2020 and winner of the 2023 Roku Industry Icon Award from World’s 50 Best Bars.

These star mixologists will be conducting seminars and hosting guest shifts at Laowai and Bagheera.

Ryan Chetiyawardana, famously known as Mr. Lyan, whose London bar Lyaness was crowned World’s Best Bar and Best International Hotel Bar at Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards — will showcase his innovative creativity and top-notch service at Botanist.

Moreover, global brand ambassadors will be making appearances all around town: Carlino will gather an international lineup to discuss everything vermouth, while Taste of Legacy will feature Diplomático rum’s Gavin Miller and Ben Sheffield of Scrappy’s Bitters, who will also lead a seminar at The Modern Bartender.

Beyond seminars and guest shifts, the ultimate rendezvous with the finest bartenders from around the world, across the country, and right in the local scene awaits at the closing night Green Garden Gala on Saturday, March 9. This signature event of Vancouver Cocktail Week will metamorphose the Sutton Place Hotel ballroom into a botanical haven, complete with live music, a DJ, gourmet cuisine, over 35 premium brand sponsors, and, naturally, a plethora of cocktail creativity.

The Green Garden Gala promises to be the talk of the town for months to come, so secure your tickets here before they vanish!

A portion of ticket sales supports the BC Hospitality Foundation’s scholarship program.

Tickets for seminars, dinners, neighborhood crawls, drag shows, the opening brunch, the closing gala, and all other Vancouver Cocktail Week events presented by The Alchemist, running from March 3 to 10, 2024, are now available for purchase.
